Title: Borrowed time and the c---y weather
Post by: Leo Mehl on April 22, 2008, 08:16:20 PM
Seems that I am working myself into a dangerous situation because of the crazy weather(toned down feelings here). I have been painting upstairs because I have to get my Arctic Fox done. Now one of these days I am going to get caught doing this and I will be in deep DoDo. I realize I am leaving myself wide open for blackmail here so would you please give me a break. I just needed to vent. I hope to finish this plane by the middle of May. I am brushing the undecoats until it warms up. A few words to the old man would probably not hert either. Pictures coming as soon as the birds settle in. HB~> HB~> HB~> HB~>

Leo, when I was much younger I used to dope planes in my bedroom with the door closed as well as the window as it was winter time.  Really I think that is why some of us are still around.  We are preserved in a way.  Anyway I won't tell if you don't, but, how are you going to hide the fumes?  DO C Holliday

Doc, I have a window on each side of the house with a large room. I have a 24" fan in one and I can open the window on the otherside which gives me very good ventilation. I have a heater vent in the middle of the room which helps keep the humity down. All this is wraped in secrecy ,I think! y1 y1 HB~>

Leo,

As long as no one notices the big grin and the funny walk you'll probably be all right. I'm sure most builders would join you in the room and enjoy the great smell. Have fun and don't get to many fumes, Gary

Yea Leo,
Like Mark said give it a southern name Mississippi River Rat, Memphis Bar-B-Q. Maybe that will change the weather.

If you keep getting a buzz off the dope you will be "Crazy Like a Fox"!
