Does builder of the model rule apply to the Advanced class at the NATS?
Thanks, bob

As I understand it, the PAMPA classes do not require you to be the BOM to fly in the event. You won't recieve appearance points, but you will be able to fly in Advanced.
You will not be able to fly in Open, Senior, or Junior, and would not be able to fly for the Walker cup.
At least that's how I understand it. H^^

Remember, too, that ARC's get appearance points, while ARF's do not. n~ I didn't make that ruling, and I'm not going to the NATS. HIHI%% Steve

That came about several years ago when someone threatened to file a protest on each an every entry in the stunt competition. The technical director at the time did not want the NATS to be held up by one individual. I voted against the ARF/ARC's getting appearance in the PAMPA classes. Needless to say the individual had personal problems nd couldn't mak it to the NATS. I still have a problem in that I can build a decent plane, I just can't finish one. That is why I hid my plane during appearance judging at VSC one year. DOC Holliday
PS: BOM only applies to Junior, Senior, Open and appearance points in PAMPA classes. jeh
