I think that's an ARK - - Almost Ready to Kill!

Just in the ten months from D-Day to the end of the war in Europe in ground attack role the P-47 destroyed 7,000 locomotives, over 80,000 rail cars, 7000 trucks, and all manner of other stuff needed to carry on the war effort lost to the Germans. Imagine being on the receiving end of eight 50-caliber MGs and two pods of rockets!

Great find - THANKS Larry.  A LOT of ingenuity into the "field-fixtures" (crate sections) that they  used as improvised building stations.  A lot of trust & teamwork...
