10 in 3 Blade = 11 in 2 blade
« on: October 31, 2007, 11:10:06 AM »
Some one said that my 10 in MA 3 blade was too much prop for a FP 25.

So will a 10 in 3 blade prop be close to the same load for a LA .46 like a 11 in 2 blade prop?

And will a 10 in 3 blade be enough prop for a LA .46?

Thanks
Paul

 This may not directly answer your question, on my ST.46's I've used  9.5x6.25 3 blade, 11.5x6 2 blade & a 12x6 2blade. I have used a 12x6 3blade, 13x6 2blade & 12x6 2blade on my ST.60's.

Paul

That will be  greatly determined by what brand 3 and 2 blades they are, some 3 blades are much easier to turn than other ones

The 3 Blade I have is one of the new Master Air Screws 10x3.5.

The wooden prop is a 2 blade 12x4 ProZinger cut down to an 11x4.

I'm with Ty.
You won't fry the engine, if you're worried about that.
I think it will work, give it a try.
