Boeing B-29 Superfortress "Doc" FLIES today in Wichita...
« on: July 17, 2016, 08:14:01 PM »
A great day today in Wichita, Kansas USA!!!

This video is from the three hour live webcast this morning, liftoff is just past the 1:46:00 mark.

A few other short clips are found below here, from the local Wichita news. A couple of them include some short but very touching comments from 91 year old Connie Palacioz, a WWII riveter who had worked on the nose section when "Doc" originally rolled off the assembly line, and who also helped during this restoration of the very same airplane.

Its too bad that such a momentous occasion didn't have a better videographer on hand.  Would have been great to hear less speech and more engine! H^^
