As most already know Bob Hunt will be taking over Stunt News. The new venue will have 2 professionals as Editor and layout person. I am sure the quality will be up to the standards of any model magazine. Also Bob has asked me to come back into PAMPA and act as a associate editor for building articles. I think the new venue will shock the stunt community.
The thing he came up with is a PAY IT FOREWORD section in PAMPA. We will be instating it here. Bob's idea is if you are willing to teach something please write your name down and phone number or a way to contact you. This way someone in your area can learn from you. Lets help keep the event alive.
I am only accepting articles for building. Please email or call me.

Am I understanding this right? I didn't think PAMPA was interested in growing the hobby... If Bobby has anything to do with this... WAY TO GO BOB....

Bob, my guess is this isn't the first time you're wrong.

Oh, don't mind Crist, he's just finding the same old nonsensical false arguments tiresome. He's new, - the rest of us are used to it ;-).

Hmmmm, politics aside, and getting back to the subject of the thread I am REALLY excited to have someone with Bobba's background, expertise and track record leading Stunt News. I am a charter member of PAMPA, back when Stunt News was a mimeographed report put together by Wynn Paul's enthusaism & dedication, and seeing what the newsletter has evolved to; and now seeing Bobba is poised to take it on and take it new places...
It will just keep getting better, lets enjoy the ride!

I also have many of those old memeographed copies of the original news letter.
PAMPA has come a long way, and I am glad that Bobby now has Stunt News under his guidance. It was unexpectantly dropped into his lap several months before he had planned. So have paticience as SN continues to improve.
It is amazing to me that some people still think that PAMPA doesn't encourage new blood. PAMPA is responsible to establishing the skill classes that we now fly. This is probably the biggest single item that has expanded stunt. Before that, the age brackets ruled, and people were discouraged when they had to fly against some of the best flyers. Also, no one has ever discouraged the "Sunday Flyers" who as a result of Stunt News has had a wealth of knowedge available to them, to help make their flying more pleasurable.

I'm sure Bob will do a fine job. I wish him luck.

Bob's a great innovator, his technical material has always been first rate.

Anyway, how's PAMPA's new Youth Recruitment Plan working?
I wish Bob all the luck in the world.

When I heard that Bobby was going to be taking over after Tom's retirement, two things immediately flashed into my mind - "wow, he's a perfect choice" followed shortly by "wow, has he taken leave of his senses".
We are *extremely happy* that Bobby has taken this task on and I can't think of anyone who would be better suited.

I wonder just how our friend Mr. Hunt finds the time for his many activities. He seems to be one busy guy! We've had very good luck choosing SN editors, and Mr. Hunt will continue the tradition.

I have found with all the organizations I've been involved with that if you need something done find the person who is the busiest and give them the task and it will get done. I really don't know how this works but it does.

Good decisions already

After 10+ years of membership I let my PAMPA dues slide this year. Just too many other priorities (such as a daughter starting college, medical bills, home repairs and aging vehicles). The political rift also turned me off a bit.
I'll likely get around to rejoining but...
