Hi Gil,

Well my first suggestion is to set it up just like it was running a pipe.  Been told to do that with my PA's that I plan to use a can muffler on, so it seems it's all the same as far as set up.

Then go from there.

Maybe just a tad more pitch on the prop non-piped.  I think the RPM's are just a bit less, maybe +.3 pitch or something like that?

Glad to be back on board here after too long an absence!

Howdy Gil,

I'm running mine with rear exhaust muffler on Lou's Brew 18% all synthetic with 1 oz of Randy's Aero One.  Mine is on Gieseki Nobler @44 ozs.  5 oz uniflo-no pressure.  Thunder Tiger 11x4.5 prop @9200rpm at release.  I am running a strong 4 cycle and love the run.  This engine DOES NOT LIKE CASTOR!!!  Ask me how I know HB~>  I really like mine and it is now a flip and fly motor.

Correct.  10%.  I could probably run less, just haven't ever tried.  I used pieces of stockings over the venturi to get the desired break.  Also, I made a spigot type venturi that seemed to smooth things out alot too.

I haven't run them with mufflers, but the 18% synthetic, 10% nitro works fine with pipes, as do the socks and spigots.

Superstition has it that if you put a piece of women's stocking over the end of the venturi, your RO-Jett will run better.  I do it because people with good-running RO-Jetts do it, but having to have women's undergarments in my toolbox is another reason to go electric.

Speaking of the 8th Air Force, my WW2-pilot neighbor just gave me a big bottle of Irish liqueur for helping him change his tire.  A great generation indeed.

Howard - Dont add that to the Fuel - despite what people say it wont help the engine perform better - AND if you have ladies underwear over the engine your just asking for trouble..  n1

Gil,

Our local Victoria's Secret has a RO-Jett section with a variety of styles.  Just go to your local store and ask >:D

Hi Gil,

I ain't sure about the "underwear" part, but bits of pantyhose held on the venturi by an "O" ring makes a great air filter/restrictor!  More layers gives the effect of smaller venturi size.

Howard,
You should know by now what belongs in women's underwear!
If not then your assignment is to discover! LL~

By the way, the silk stuff is finer!

Some would consider that a plus.
