Hi Jim,
I have one framed up from Berkeley plans. 10-15, or so, years ago, Bob Hunt published it again in the "Classic Series" at Flying Models. Some nice modern techniques were added so that the tank is removable, etc. Plans available from FM. Everything was maintained, size wise, from the original.

No. He had one on display but didn't fly it. Desert camouflage & British markings. Very pretty!

I have a Tom Dixon hand cut kit of the Black Tiger. The wood in it is first class contest material. I gotta get around to building it soon.

Not trying to bust in on this thread but I thought I would mention that with the help of Mike Donovan
I have found a canopy that may be a good one to modify and make for the kits I have been planning to make.
This means we'll be restarting this project and offering a kit this summer
after the prototype is built.
Please watch for Black Tiger kit announcements in the future.

Used a Sullivan Slant 4 ounce tank. Did extend the fuselage 0.3 inches to get everything inside.

Hi Richard,
That one gets my vote for Spirit of '52! Looks like a time capsule piece. Great job!
