Always loved the Blues, and I had the honor of working on the retrofits to the F4s that they flew.

Thanks. I love the sounds of the radial engines. nothing is better.

Does anyone know when this took place?

Tom,
It looks like Al Teddeo passed in 2013 at 94. He was the last of the originals. He mentioned in the video, as he was climbing in the cockpit, he was 90 at the time. So, I guess it was 2009. Boy, you could see 60+ years go away as he sat in it, and then......Cool guy!

Best,
Tom

Have seen this video sveral times and still stirs emotions as I love watching the Blues perform.  The look on the old timers face says it all as he sit in the cockpit and playing with the stick.  Thanks.

I like Bearcats also. The orange one now has a internal muffler. The older blue one fell of my work table two years back and broke the wing and smashed the canopy. It is now repaired with new light weight flaps, new canopy and a internal muffler. Almost ready for paint. It will also be 10 ounces lighter.

Past meets Present Pilots.

Beautiful - Thanks for sharing!

I've always loved the Bearcat.  The Naval Reserve flying out of Minneapolis started flying them about the time I was 10 years old, and occasionally buzzed the town - hey, don't tell!

Saw the Blue Angels at an air show in Fargo a few years back, and Ed Shipley - seen and heard in parts of the video - really put a Bearcat through its paces at that show.

Great memories!

Dennis
