Blown Rod on Johnson 36BB
« on: April 25, 2010, 07:51:59 PM »
I was flying my Fox Rumble/Johnson 36BB today and it threw a rod. I have a spare piston, but no spare rod. Anyone out there got a spare rod for a Johnson 36BB?

Hey Phil; You might try Mecoa, as I think they have the Johnson rights now, and although they do not have engines yet, they may have a rod. I have purchased stuff for some of my engines that they did not have advertised. I have emailed them, and they generally get right back to me with part numbers so that I can order on line. You might want to give it a try anyway.

Phil. I have several Johnson rods. I think I have 2 that should fit the BB. Send me a email and we'll work out the details. Not asking for anything other than postage back for the one that you don't need.

It wasn't that you could and others couldn't, its that you did and others didn't.

Better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.

They have no rods at all for the Johnson.

Thanks to your generosity, I have assembled the Johnson. I found I had a Stunt Supreme cylinder installed. I refitted it with a Combat Special cylinder. It should really travel now.
