I just wanted to put a note up here about my father.
He had surgery Monday to relieve what was thought to be a bowl obstruction.
We found out today that it was to the best of my abilities to describe it the beginning of Colon Cancer.
They removed about 1 foot of his large intestine and about 1 foot of his small intestines and the tumor itself which was about 3.5"
They found some cancerous cells in his lymph nodes so they want to administer chemo therapy but not radiation.
The doctor seemed to be very positive about the situation and feels he will recover fine.
Dad is in room 1324 at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. Room # 910-715-1324
I am only posting this so that people know what is going on with him.

This is totally unaccepable. Bill has better things to do than be sick in the hospital. He has canopies to mold and planes to build.
Aaron, please wish him well from all of us. Glad to hear the Docs caught this when they did.
-
I'm very sad to hear about Big Bear's troubles but I am very happy that he is doing well and everything looks hopeful. Thanks for keeping us informed Aaron! I hope to see you both again soon!

Tell Bill we'll put him on the FCM prayer chain - after all, he's not only a buddy, brother, and friend, he's also responsible for choosing the name - Fellowship of Christian Modelers.
This from me personally, Love ya big guy, be well!
-
I've actually never met Bill Little face to face but, i've always felt like he was my close friend. Glad to hear he is going to be okay and back in "building shape" soon.
-
Hey, Bill, sneaky way to get more building time! Get well, we're all thinking of you!
-
Thanks Aron,
The best part here is that Bill went in early very good chance of ending this stuff. If Farra Faucett had done this like Bill the Dr.s say she most likely would of made it, I went through some crap like this 2 years ago myself My Doctor say I have virtully nothing to worry about .
I'll try & contact Bill I have enjoyed talking to him as much as anyone,

I promised him a get well card with a necked gurl on it. He is looking froward to that. LL~
I only know Bill through this forum. I am missing his posts already.
If he needs cheering up, do you think this would help?

My heartfelt thanks for all the kind words and prayers. It is a tremendous help!
I find out Friday as to when my chemo therapy starts and I am getting stronger each day. This is the first day I have felt good enough to get on the computer, I get real weak, real fast. But I am getting better!
The malignancy was in my small intestine near my appendix and the surgeon feels he got everything. He took out a bit more intestine than is called for, but he wanted to be sure while I was "opened up".
Hopefully I can get back to work on some models soon and I have a new "PAMPA" plane to finish up for October and Huntersville. Might not be able to fly a 200 point pattern by then, but at least I can get it ready and be there. ;D
Really, I thank you all.

Most recent news: I get a "port" installed for the chemo next Friday and visit the oncologist the following week. I want to make things go faster but it's all up to the Doctors right now.
Thanks, again, fellas!
