First thin of real importance is to have a top notch Pitch Gauge. I have one that was made just for F2C props way back when I was trying the event. But, the designer of it also made an additional gauge for bigger props. Basically if you are using carbon props you need something to heat the water in. I would not even consider reforming nylon props, even the the composite ones. Wood blades you need a good set of files and lots of sandpaper. On all props you change the pitch on the backside of the blade. After the pitch is set, then you thin down the prop on the front(airfoiled side). Myself at made stage of competition I stay with wood or APC props. I have quite a selection to choose from and play with. Now for the carbon guys to step in and let us know how they do it.
