BIIIIG Ringmasters do fly

 This is a RM1000 built by Larry Marx from Las Vegas and flown for the first time by Joey Mathison. This is the second RM 1000 built to date. Joey did a heck of a job flying the beast. Kudos to Larry Marx for building it. Way to go Brothers.

The Veco (K&B) .61 looks like it did a fine job, wasn't sure if it would be enough.

It was a lot of fun to fly, the k/b was pulling her aroung just fine. i think the stunt contest thing is not for me yet. i still have a few years left in my legs for speed flying but when it is time to hang up the mono-line handel i will try my hand at stunt right now i just do tricks not really a stunt pilot.

we were all thrilled to have you and your dad come out to the ball field at vo-teck high school and fly with us. the 3.99 new york strip steak and eggs was ok also. this weekend we will have a guest from new zeland neal lickfold he is the guy that worked for henry nelson untill recently. i wonder if he is strong enough to fly the 1000?

          You know some designs just never get finished and the Ring Master is one of them along with the Fierce Arrow, Nobler, Thunderbird, and a dozen or so others. Dee has a great flying large RM and I have judged him once in Expert stunt in Dallas. Then it all comes down to who has a hold of the handle. Carl in Missouri has been building a large RM as well. My consensus is that if you can fly a RM well though the entire pattern then you can probably master any true stunt design. I love this hobby.................

Great looking model and nice video...but SPEAKIN ABOUT BALLS... I couldn't help looking at those baseball players...EYEBALLIN' THEIR BASEBALL DIAMOND...plus all those HIGH TENSION WIRES in the background looked ALMOST as DANGEROUS??? VD~LL~

I have flown on many bal diamonds, sometimes the lights were on for some reason, otherwise they were off.  The only time I got worried was when the humidity was real high.  I just flew the plane down on the deck.  At that period in time I did not have a handle like Bigiron used to make. 

Now that I think of it,  with the new handles including the hard point handle we are not grounded anymore.  How much static buildup does it take to jump the gap?  Have fun,  DOC Holliday

     Static electrical shock depends on how much electricity is in the air. If it is stormy looking as it gets here in north Texas simply take a wire with an alligator clip on each end and clip one to a control line and the other to your metal watch band. That way static electricity cannot build up to blast you. It only takes .6 amps to stop your heart and that is if you are built like and have the strength of a Dallas Cowbow line backer. .6 amps is approximately the equality of a 60W light bulb. Do not become the grounding factor for any type of electricity.
