A nearby RC club is hosting a large fun fly in Magnolia, AR on August 29-31. Many of the top RC suppliers will be sponsoring this event including 3D Hobby Shop, which is one of the largest suppliers of 3D and giant scale aerobatic aircraft.
The club has offered to supply a couple of grass control line circles to accomodate any control line flyers that would like to attend. I realize this is the same weekend as the Dallas control line meet, so I know the serious competitors will attend that meet. This would be a great venue to display the world of control line to a very large group of modelers. I'm planning to attend and fly as much as I can during the 3 days. I'm also hoping to have a couple of trainers available for anyone that is interested in learning.
The same club had a large fun fly last November and I was invited to come fly during the noon time demo with some of the top RC pilots in this region. Everyone really enjoyed my flight and I was invited to come back this year and bring as many people as I could round up.
If anyone is intersted in this please let me know. I'd love to have some more guys show up to fly.
