Hello everybody,
With some help from Niklas Löfroth (https://www.youtube.com/@niklaslofroth4393) and with his permission to use the videos he recorded at the contest, I hereby present the same videos with motion traces and Augmented-Reality geometry including the Nominal Figures of each maneuver per FAI F2B Rules. The videos were traced using a pre-release version of VideoF2B software, originally conceived and implemented by Alberto Solera in 2018, as announced here (https://stunthanger.com/smf/open-forum/videof2b-at-landres-2018/) on StuntHangar. I took great interest in the project, and have been actively developing this software into a user-friendly product since 2020. Version 0.6 will be officially released very soon. Watch this other thread (https://stunthanger.com/smf/download-area/video-f2b-software/) for those news.
In the meanwhile, enjoy the results of our collaboration on a global scale!
The videos include flights from the top 15 F2B pilots in the world in 2022. There will be a total of 45 videos.
I have posted Round 1 of the Finals so far -- 15 flights. More will appear in the same playlist in the near future as time allows me to process them, one round at a time.
The scores from the contest are publicly available here (https://cl-f2abcd-wchs2020.pl/wch2022f2/results_online_f2b/rank.html?). Note that I am presenting the flights in the order they were flown, according to the F2B Fly-off Schedule (https://cl-f2abcd-wchs2020.pl/wch2022f2/draw_online/f2b_fo.pdf).
With no more ado, here is the VIDEO PLAYLIST (https://youtu.be/DqWQNNn6JfU?si=n4swsRmYEoYvP_fT).
I'll be happy to entertain any questions about the video tracing process and the software in this thread or in PM/email.
Cheers, H^^

WOW! That is incredible! Those looked like some pretty poor flights for world champs.
And "NO" I couldn't do half that good......................or bad.

Beautiful technology .... Fantastic .... A giant leap for stunt training and judging ...

The sizes are eye opening!

Really? Have you ever tried flying with 45 degree markers? Because 45 degrees is pretty darn small. These flights are *much* closer than average flights across the board.

This is so cool! It's really a great way to base your judging prowess.

Watching Bob Hunt's pattern trace recorded during last year's STARS fun fly in Syracuse, New York confirmed how exacting a pattern can be flown. This a perfect tool for those "experts" working on improving themselves. Think what this will do to improve scores at the nationals and world.

Very interesting! I would love to use it for my training flights for the best feedback. Is this software available to purchase somewhere?

Please see the first post in this thread for that link.

Russell,
To answer your question: no, it's not available for purchase anywhere. It's free, as in "beer" and as in "freedom". What could be better, eh?
