Hi Guys,
I’m building a Bob Hunt RD-1 from scratch. What’s the best engine for it: I have Brodak 40, Os la 46, Os 40 FP, Os 35 FP, OS 25 LA.
thanks for any help.
Regards

The original RD-1 started life with an Enya 30 SS engine, and it was pretty good. Then, after the 1990 Nats, we retrofitted it with an OS 32FSR with reduced blow-down timing and it was great!
I'm not up to date with the current crop of IC engines, as I switched to electric in 2005 and have never looked back, or wanted to look back. However, if I were to build an RD-1 for glow I'd opt for a light engine. The Brodak 40 may be a good choice, as well as the Enya 32SS or a modified - as noted above - OS 32 FSR. The best choice would be a Power 15 with a 2200 5S battery... Just sayin'...

Hello Bob
Thanks so much for your reply.
Unfortunately here it’s hard to find a Enya 30 or better an OS 32 fsr. May be I will use the Broda 40.
I heard about the RD-1 PLUS, do you have plan of that?
Thanks again and Regards from Italy.

Bob:
What is the relationship of the RD-1 to the Prowler? They look similar.
