As Steve said if you can fly inverted learning the beginner pattern should not be difficult. If you need to lean to fly inverted start with doing a large loop and as you get to the top feed in a bit of down to flatten the top, then back to up to complete the loop. Work on this with longer flats and tighter loops. Once you can do say 1/3 a circle try bringing the ship over further in the loop (to say a third past the top) then apply down elevator to flatten the ship inverted for 1/3 a lap then apply enough down to do half an outside back to normal upright level flight. Keep increasing the length of the inverted flight till you can do 6 laps. Now you have three basic maneuvers the inside loop the inverted flight and the outside recovery. Read through the B pattern and mentally fly each maneuver (this speeds up the actual flying and save some airplanes). A good source to see the pattern flow is YouTube, there are some from the Brodak contest.
