Title: Baton Rouge Bi-Liners
Post by: James Holford on March 18, 2017, 04:29:44 PM
This morning we had a great turnout for a fun fly. Beautiful morning...wind was on and off. Enjoyed the stories and advice and laughs.

My first flight the hinges on my RM popped out after a loop and well it pancaked a little... only damage tho was broke prop n bent gear.

The weather couldn't have been more clear, bright sun, but the winds were a little disturbing, and the fellowship was great.
Looking forward to more get togethers like this soon.

Gil, if you want "disturbing" winds, come to DFW.  Today was not bad, maybe 10 mph, but I had other things to do so I could not get to the field.  Tomorrow the winds are forecast to be 15-25.  It is forecast to be windy most of next week.  I try to make the most of my time by building when I can't fly due to high winds.

And, if too windy, I can't spray dope since I have to paint in the garage.  Debris blows into the garage so I have to wait for a fairly calm and low humidity day.

I intend to be in Baton Rouge for your next contest.

Thanks for the great pictures of you guys having fun.  Winds 10-15 mph are a light breeze.  Would have been out but they won't let me until I see the doctor.   But, really getting out to the field with guys is fun even if you don't get a plane out of the car.

Disregard this post I didn't view J Holford's video which is self explanatory. Very well done James!
              PIC#1 - Steve Millet's "NEMESIS" -  his spin off of the NOBLER W/ OS32F
PIC#2 - John Blanchard with Allan Perret firing up his beautiful Ringmaster Deluxe w/ Aero-Tiger 36, or did he change out to an Enya?
PIC#3 - L-R- Nick Iiaussa, Gil- "Bootlegger", and Brent Rogillio
PIC#5 - James Holford wounded RM
PIC#7 - Steve Millet and John Blanchard getting ready to put up Steve's Nemesis I guess - In the line behind the Nemesis is Allan Perret's SV-11, followed by
John Blanchard's Steve Moon prototype ULTRA HOBBIES IMPACT W/ DISCOVERY-RETRO 60, and the last plane is a WHO DAT? Don't know the name
of the plane nor the owner. Maybe the bootlegger or Perry Rose can clear this up.
              PIC#8 - The Bootlegger w/ Nick's Pathfinder?
              PIC'S#9 & 10 - Perret flying the Ringmaster Deluxe
PIC'S#11 &12 - Perry Rose putting in a flight on - that just might be that "WHO DAT" plane???

The Who Dat plane is a Shark 610 designed by Pat Johnston Gil is flying the Shark 560 by the same designer.
