Banana Arming Plug

I have seen a banana plug used as an arming plug with a loop of wire outside of the fuselage and the female end imbedded in the fuselage.  I thought it to be a bit ugly but simple and effective.  Does anybody that has used one have any comments as to how it has or would fare with appearance judges?  Appearance judging is always done with the plug removed.  This would have it dangling outside the plane.  I like having it stay with the plane since I nearly always forget it when I move my plane onto the circle.

 The plane has two female receptacles, the wire two males, so the wire is removed for appearance judging. It's just a loop

Here's a picture of the arming plug on my Blue Angel.  For appearance judging I just pull it out completely.  I like the arrangement.

I like it.  I also like the Blue Angel.  I saw the first flight of the original at the 1964 Nats.  I was on the same practice circle as Larry.
It knocked my socks off.  I had never seen anything that big before.  Hope yours is as impressive, it looks like it.

It made 2nd row at the 2023 Nats.  I was very pleased.  The plane flies exceptionally well.  Building it was an experience as I discussed the specifics with Larry and tried to build it as true to his as possible, other than the electric conversion.  My favorite part was that I had Larry sign it.  He was very excited, and we had a lengthily discussion about the design and his experience at the Nats with it.  Sadly, I had a conversation with the ground this summer while I was practicing, so presently it is under repair.  It will fly again!
