Kid venture --Help the future of control line
« on: June 06, 2023, 07:25:05 PM »
Please take a look at this.  We needed to get some new engines this year and 2 norvels + tanks were over $200 shipped.
Ineed to get some starter batteries and a few other supplies.

Most of the engines are 20+ years old.

We do this each year and invest many hours (it will be over 40 just in prep work this year).  Each year we do more flights than anywhere except maybe the Nats.
Every penny goes toward equipment and operating expense.

This is a week long event that exposes kids of all ages to control line. Hundreds of flights a day for the entire week of EAA.
It’s a hot, busy week. Wish we could have made it up this year.
Chris and Dave do a great job!!!

Good luck guys. And please post up some pictures and numbers. 👍🏼

big thanks to Jim Lee that donated 3 very usable engines.

and several propellers.

Out go fund me is still on and I want to thank everyone that has contributed so far.

Please let me know if you have Engines or Propellers, especially the old top flite or tornado with plastic ones.  They are not super efficient but will take a beating.

We have been working hard to modernize the equipment but doing it in a very budget-minded way, with several new engines starter batteries, etc,

Jim Lee's engines

New engines and tanks were almost  $130 each
