Title: Ballerina 3 kit cost
Post by: John Miller on February 04, 2011, 08:52:15 AM
I'm trying to find out what the cost of Bill Sawyers Ballerina 3 kit was. If you know, it would help his wife.

I see his site has been removed from the Vendors Corner.  I know the Playboy  was in excess of $200.00. H^^

I think it was it was $180. plus shipping. I was going to get one from Bill but I didn't get to it. If any become available I'll certainly buy one. I know Bill had some in stock ready to sell.

I checked my pay pal records and not counting the Demeco Continental which was in the 80.00 range I show a 144.20 to Bill in Jan of 2010 which should have been the Lazer Ballerina III

I just did a search of the Laser Ballerina III and Jan 9 2010 Bill posted the kits were ready to ship so the 144.20 was the shipped price to Illinois.

Lee, I think Bill had to raise the price to $180. on this last run. I'm not 100% positive on that, but I think that was the last posted price.

That would be a big jump in price but none the less there's an idea of a price range. Now without looking I'm sure mine came without hardware, were the Playboy I think had Tom Morris controls included.

Wish I could be of help!  The $180 range seems to pop into my head for the last ones he sold.  Don't know if that included shipping, though.  (???)

Bill was a great friend, and we discussed the Playboy a lot before he made the kits.  He brought one to me at Huntersville which was all "seconds" which he would not release to a buyer.  That was not a problem for me, AT ALL! LOL!!  The "deal" was outstanding, and it all gets covered up when it's finished. ;D  I need to move that kit to the bench soon.  Once I found out that Norm used a Red Head McCoy .40 in his, I out my best one aside with the kit for usage there.

I will have to call Estelle before long.......... it's just too soon for me right now.
