2012 Nats
« on: January 20, 2024, 12:36:15 PM »
I was poking around on my computer today and ran across the write up I did after I won the 2012 nats. I completed this very soon afterwards so I wouldn't forget any of the details. It's a pretty long write up for sure as there are many non flying details in there.

I thought I would post it here for anyone who wants read it. Looking back it was a crazy week for many different reasons from bad motor runs to horrible weather to car break downs and more...

I hope you like it...

That is a great read Doug.   Glad you finally made it.  Even though I don't fly stunt at the NATS as a serious contender I enjoy the company of all the competetors.  Sure miss being there.  But old age Physical problems keep me at home. D>K

Thanks Doug for posting your great accomplishment. The part I enjoyed the most was after you won and you called your wife, nothing came out. Priceless!

Nice write up Doug.
I remember reading that back then and I felt like I was right there with you.
However, shopping for a nice gift for my wife in the middle of Nats week? Not gonna happen! You're a good Dad.
I see people my age out there climbing mountains and zip lining and here I am feeling good about myself because I got my leg through my underwear without losing my balance
