Back on the wheels !!! We Fly Monday weather permitting
« on: June 23, 2012, 02:26:30 PM »
Here is is back on the wheels. The holes are fixed as good as it's gonna get.

Never as good as when it is brand new but hey it's 100% better then it was a few days ago.

Let the dope gas off another day and hope to fly it Monday.

I do not think it picked up much at all in weight. I will put it on the scales tomorrow.

I'm back in the saddle. #^

You don't sound well. Maybe you should call in sick on Monday. I think you need a dose of castor.  LL~

NICE job Paul.

BTW, in your original post regarding controling what breaks (i.e., ripping out the LG platform as opposed to something more serious) another way out is to do like the RC boys and use nylon LG bolts.  The bolts should break before the platform, unfortunately you would STILL end up with holes in the wing unless you sheet it with PLYWOOD   LL~  VD~  n1

Thanks Steve!
We are already talking about next year. I think a few more guys from our area will join us.

It was good to see you and hope we cross paths again soon.

I have some Paul.  4-40 is probably not the recommended size though.

I do feel a Sniffle coming on...

Well Zuriel maybe on the next one.

I got it buffed out this afternoon. I did put it on the scale and it weighed in at 51 oz and some change. Not too bad.
I think the extra weight came mostly from the new landing gear. They are a little bit taller and made out of thicker Aluminum. I needed extra ground clearance because of the 12.25 in prop. ;D
