Hey Guys,
Here is my new Gieseke Nobler built from an Ultra Hobbies kit. I flew UC back in my teens. I am proud to say I am the son of a hobby shop owner and great all around modeler. His name was Richard "Dick" Ambrose, a P-47 pilot during WWII and my hero. He gave me a great deal but most of all his love for airplanes and modeling. Please don't be too critical because it's been a long time since I built a model. Thanks to Willis Swindell for getting me excited about flying again. Oh by the way, I'm now 48 years old.
Take it easy on me.

I sure like your paint scheme....I think I'll steal it for one of mine and say I designed it. We live far enough away that no one will know! oh oh....did I type that out loud? LL~ Nice plane....the Nobler has always been one of my fav's.

Hey Bill,
That is a beautiful Nobler. I don't think anyone is going to give you a hard time about that plane. My only flyable Nobler was a "Green Box", painted black with white trim in Jim Silhavy style. It was built in 1967 and is still flyable, Fox .35 stunt and a Top Flite 10/6 prop. I always loved that plane......a wonderful design....TDurrill H^^

That puts my work to shame.

Okay guys I know by now you've seen those empty wing panels (on purpose). Help me with the lettering. I already have a name picked out. SKYON - that's a play on Scion. My thinking is to spray the lettering with shadowing (AMA number on opposite panel). PLEASE help me simplify the process. All suggestions greatly appreciated.

That Nobler looks a lot better than anything I have built. Where's Randy P. and Mark when you need them. Go to some of the finishing threads or conatact Randy P. hisself for help. :)

Bill,
Thanks, it's nice to back. Willis used to come into my dad's hobby shop well before he was MY age - imagine that!
