Has anyone got experience running this combo? Also control ratios as shown on Brodak plans?? Thanks in advance!  Rob F

My Cobra started out with the B-40 First run. With only enough room for a 10.25 inch prop two blade was out of the question. I went to a three blade Bolly 10.25x4.5, and then the fun started. The B-40 has the power I needed as the Cobra was 52 oz. I set up my B-40 with one of my mufflers...I had to add three extra holes on the end cap to get that extra SHOT OF POWER IN THE OVERHEADS. With about 75 runs on the B-40 the front bushing started to show ware. At 100 runs I had about 1/4" end play as you move the prop to check the bushing.
I ended up putting in an LA-46...WAY better engine. More of everything. Plane is very happy with the LA-46.

NOW there are other runs of the B-40 that have a better record then the first run.

Thank you Scott, I got caught insame clearence trap with my Argus,went to 3 bld bolly no prob,Silver Fox power 40 ozs. Do you think your B-40 went south so quick due to wgt??ie 52 ozs, reason I ask is LA46 seems a little heavy by what 2+ ozs. Did you use extention? Move LA back? Any and all help greatly recd,great flights to all!  Rob F
