Check out this huge c/l b-17 for sale on the bay. Anyone know who built it?

Current bid is $255.00 if it actually sold for that, it would be a steal.

There are 2 more by the same seller. Really cool models.

I wonder who the builder is/was, these models look REALLY well done. I also have to wonder how old and brittle they might be. Cool stuff. y1

Looks like the older Kyosho kits

That big? They have over 6' wingspan. I could picture Dan Banjock flying one of these smiling ear to ear.

Gee, it's about the same size as my 909. The markings are similar as well.
Wow, maybe I should bid on this! ;D

I don't see yours ever being topped Paul, one of the coolest C/L models of all time IMO. y1

Considering the builder of the model rule they would make great fun scale models! LL~

If you look at the nose wheel for the B-24, it looks like a Veco. My guess would be 60's, early 70's.
From his other items, I'd say he was a WWII Vet.

Downersgrove Illinois, some one should know or remember who it might be.

IDK, but from reading the ads I don't think the seller is or was the builder. It looks like the seller is running either a military surplus or used-a-bit type store. My guess is that they're offering these models as the result of an estate sale or something.

Go to the facebook page for Chicago Army Navy Surplus Store. More models there including a partial pic of a C130 that was sold.
