Thanks for posting this. I remember when the plane was here in Memphis at the Mud Island river park. It was sitting out in the weather and birds were nesting in it. There was a group that was trying to restore it but funding was a problem. Nice to see it is now being restored.

I think this might be a flyable B-17 that's painted up to represent the Memphis Belle and not the original one that's now being restored by the U S Air Force Museum.

I was wondering that too. The original was in pretty sorry shape. Sadly typical when you put could-care-less city officials in charge.
