Just had a blast at the field today. Flew for almost five hours, with breaks for lunch and rest y1. These were the first flights on the Pathfinder since converting it to electric, and it is very nice. Turns good and pulls hard, flies quite a bit better than the P-40. I need bunches of practice but I am having fun.

Bill are you flying at the field outside of Byron or at Mac's field?

I remember talking to Norm about putting that circle in and if it had not been for him, I doubt if we would have ever had a CL circle. Keith, can't remember his last name, got obnoxious at a club meeting about us flying contro line at the field. I jumped right square in his s**t about it. We plowed up the ground for the circle and I rented on of those steam rollers they use on asphalt and drove it around the circle to pack the dirt down. Then I bought a bunch Bermuda seed and seeded it down. We had no water supply so just had to depend on rain. After about 4 years, about the time I move back to Louisiana, it was looking really good. Norm also was responsible for getting the shelter and windsock for us. Bob Dixon, Dave Shad and I worked long hours to get that circle developed. I hope it still looks good. Anyone in the club besides you and Bob flying control line? I think Dave Shad kind of dropped off the face of the Eart.

Right now it is mostly me with a couple of probables. Dave Fountain has built some planes and is ready to fly, and we have a junior with a couple of planes also. No sign of Bob or Dave. Keith is still around campaigning on removing the circle, but it won't happen- very few people fly at the field anyway since the Roberta club merged with GAMA.

I did not know about the merger Bill. Keep control line alive there old friend.
