Title: automotive clear
Post by: Bootlegger on February 01, 2012, 08:18:47 AM
#^   A good friend made me a power panel box, and I want to keep it clean and neat.
Can I brush auto clear on it  to do so, and if not why, and what should I use??
  Thanks a lot, Gil :!

Yes it can be brushed.   Don't put it on too thick as it may run in places.  My first plane I used the two part auto clear on was brushed.  Had a couple of runs that nobody noticed. H^^

HI Gil,

If you have to urethane, go ahead and use it, but if not, get the Black can of Minwax Polycrylic. (non water based)  It will do about the same thing, and is tons cheaper!
