Title: Asking for material for the PAMPA website
Post by: Dave_Trible on August 30, 2021, 06:12:21 PM
One thing that has ALWAYS been a challenge for both the old Stuint News and the PAMPA website is having material to print or upload.  The editors spent more time cajoling people to write and contribute than anything else.  In the past few years it has just gotten worse.  The Nats article is about to go up but we don't have a whole lot else to post.  Will you help us?  If you have something you'd like to write about concerning our sport then please do so.  Include photos too!  Please send your contributions to Chris Rud  (me@chrisrud.com)  If for any reason that doesn't work for you send them to me. (VegasDave4@gmail.com) and I will forward it.
Also for the time being I will bring back to life the contest calendar AND contest results for the website.  Please just type out the details into an email to my address above about your contest.  Once over,  at the very least send me a photo of your final scoreboard.  If you'd like to do a write up with photos about your event we'd love to have it.
Chris is looking at what he has on Mondays and should post it by the following two-three days in most cases.
Let's dust off your creative talents and get some neat 'stuff' in to post!!

Our Thanks!

Dave

In addition to the website, Chris made me an admin on the PAMPA facebook page recently. The page has been pretty dormant for the last couple years. I think we can grow PAMPA’s social media footprint if we start posting more on it as well. In addition to sending Chris and Dave write ups, if anybody has contest pictures, contest flyers, results, impromptu fun fly’s, airplane builds, old pictures or anything they would like to see posted on facebook, please email (flycl@yahoo.com) or text them to me with a description and I will get them posted on the facebook page as soon as possible. Chris and I will be working in parallel to get content posted on both the website and on facebook

I know of two contests this weekend, one of which I plan to attend the second day of, looking forward to seeing results and pictures to post!  S?P D>K

Doc I don’t know exactly what you are speaking about but I do know we have had some confusion about who was doing what and where material has been sent at times.  We are making an effort to get that sorted and streamlined.  It is my hope it will flow better from here forward.  Just submit your stuff to those we have mentioned here.  We’ll get it placed where it needs to go.

The pics I sent were to our district rep.  I also thought the district reps would be putting in articles every so often.  I enjoyed the articles and pictures. D>K

Ok. We (the EC) are in the middle of an on line group meeting.  I know all that got backed up too.  I’ll ask the Directors to check their files and send what they have. (Or resend).

Ty I am sorry.  I don’t know where it was sent or when.  Chris has nothing.  If you still have it send it again.  There have been too many and yet not enough cooks in the kitchen.  We are trying to get it right.

You could try posting my District IV Report which I have sent in twice.

You can post on the PAMPA control-line facebook group but not the page. If you want stuff posted on the page, send stuff to me with a description, and I’ll go ahead and post it on the page. I will also send it to Chris and he will post it on the website
