Title: Armorall, Anybody?
Post by: steve pagano on August 17, 2007, 07:49:23 PM
Has any one used this to wipe down there plane after a flight? Would it bring out the shine on a freshly buffed plane?

From the perspective of a professional painter,(me), I would not have Armor all in my shop. the silicone is insidious, it will find its way onto anything you want to paint . Of course, thats only because I have had it ruin paintjobs before. I would encourage the use of a paint friendly product more like a  glaze, Mguiers makes several that will really make your finish sparkle. There is another one that we used to use called "clear coat" that was a glaze , simple wipe it on and wipe it off, man the stuff would really shine. NO silicone. If youever plan on having to touch up your finish, do NOT put anything on it that contains silicone. Dope especially is absorbant and you can really make a mess.
FWIW
Leo,,, sigh, what can I say old buddy, I thought it was aftershave you drank not Armor all, now I konw why you and your clan are all so slippery! ::) ::) ;D

A couple drops of it in your fuel helps keep foaming under control.
