I just called Sparky and told him that I will be sending him an Argus Kit to be used in an upcoming drawing. This is the same kit that was profiled in a Stunt News two issue building article this year.
-
This time you gotta pick me. If not then I know it's rigged.

Hats off to Bill Sawyer for donating this great kit.
Thanks Bill

Bill,
That is a really wonderful gift, and very generous of you.
Doubt I'd ever find the time to build one, and probably couldn't fly if I did, but who knows.

Thanks Ty, but after sixty-nine years, my quick isn't very impressive anymore. ;D

Ty,
Never built an I-beam wing that I can recall, but I remember when the Argus design was published in one of the model magazines. I was very impressed with the looks, and the construction methods used.
Who pioneered the I-beam system, was it Werwage?

Look in the Hall of Stunt Hangar hall of fame for Daily.

Thanks Robert,
I've been meaning to get to the Hall, but have been intentionally putting it off.
I know it's going to be like a starting a good book too late in the evening, or having just one Frito potato chip, from a freshly opened bag. ;D
