Congratulations PJ!! Best wishes to your both!
I wore my Dress Blues at my first wedding. About 5 minutes before I needed to walk down the isle, my 24-carot gold medals start falling off their mountings. Fortunately, Dad was up at Oshkosh doing the Kidventure thing, and had instruments of reconstruction. The music is playing, and my jacket is splayed on the hood of my car while Dad, my Grandfather and I are super glueing and duct taping these medals back onto my uniform!
Sean, Sean, Sean....

That's what you get for using 24 carrots. Carrots are vegetables destined to crumble (and not, importantly, to stink a bit while doing so). Had you instead used 24 karat gold for your medals they would have remained shiny and "crisp" to the touch. Good thing Dad and Grandpa were there to help, once again, put you on the right road.
Next time we see each other remind me to tell you about the beautiful several foot tall wedding cake at my daughter's wedding that ended up a couple of feet shorter than originally intended and not quite "vertical!" At first it seemed a disaster. Looking back at it, it was funny and one of the things we remember most about a beautiful day.
I can to this day hear Kim whispering in my ear as we waited for the musical cue to walk down the aisle with the abbreviated cake aside the door: "Dad, what happened to the kek?

?"
I said: "What kek? Start walking".
