Cool site with complete Apollo journals of ALL missions.  Hundreds of hours of live voice transcripts, photos, video, debriefs, etc.

Well.....I just broke my leg two days before and on the 20th I got very sick.  :'( :'(  I laid on the couch and was glued to the B&W TV. My Mother and Father went over to my brothers that just bought a color TV.

I was so into the space program as a kid. Just the idea of flight......... y1
Still have the same feelings.

This is the day I can Verify Tom Wardens Continental. My dad had a contest in West Covina in the parking lot of his Hobby shop and it was there. I know this because we talked about it for weeks.

Hey Bob, I didn't know you were from Covina. I and a bunch had a club out of Glendora in the late 50's through the early 60's. we were named the Glendora Thunderbirds. I was the president until I went in the Navy late '62. We used to fly, among other places, at Gladstone H.S.

Spent many hours in your dad's shop.

Sure is a small world. H^^

I mostly remember when the lander left the moon.  I was working at a computer start-up company in Silicon Valley (Tenet, Inc.) as electrical engineer. Everyone stopped to watch a little b/w T.V. set as the guys blasted off the moon.  I was impressed by how easily it went up.

Our little company later went bankrupt, but it wasn't my fault! (I hope!).  I ended up with a pile of worthless stock certificates!

My wife, two sons (ages 7 and 8 ) and I were on vacation in Gloucester MA.  We watched the lunar landing on a big 17 inch TV in a furnature store in town.  That evening we let the boys stay up and we all watched the EVA on our 9 inch Black and White TV in our travel trailer.

Those were the days,
