Title: APC Multi-Rotor props???
Post by: Paul Taylor on March 04, 2023, 12:47:27 PM
I found these in a box. Has anyone used them on a electric stunter? They seem to have a lot of flex.
Thoughts?

At the APC web site they posted a rule of thumb formula for the safety [max RPM] of their gas / glow sport props.
I'll bet they have done the same for their electric / drone props.

Most APC props will turn more RPM’s then the Motor / ESC will allow. Most of us run 9000’s - 12000’s.
I’m not too concerned around RPM’s as I am flex. 😉

Paul,
I have tried some of the multi rotor props and was disappointed. They seemed to be underpitched from what was expected. With the APC's I think you could pitch them up but they still flex quite a bit. The CF ones are very stiff but they don't repitch very well, the resin is like the carbon tubes, it just doesn't budge.

Thanks Dennis.
I think I may toss them back in a box.
