Whoah. :o Nope, haven't even heard of it 'til now but I'll bet it's a stump puller.
-
Cool. Added to the "want" list.

One is on the way for one of Sam's new planes. Should be here by the weekend.
-
Yes! Got mine two days ago. It is going to be used on a Bolly tuned exhaust.. Going to order another before they are out of stock!

Randy Smith from Aero Products a vendor on Stunt Hanger sells these 2 Enya engines:
Enya 61 CSX REAR EX ring version.
Enya 61 CSX ring version.

Unfortunately I will not be carrying ENYA motors any longer, The service and lack of support and products, has been so bad I can no longer deal with them.
Randy

Sorry

FYI. I went to the Enya site and saw the same 23,670 price. But then I logged into my account (had previously register several months ago when ordering parts) and noticed the priced dropped to 22,000 yen. So I ordered one of the new 61's and the total came to 201.35 with shipping.

You are too funny Clancy. How about our JYW plane? LOL. Hope you make it to Brodaks next year.

I looked on their site & saw how to order an engine but didn't see a spot to order a header or adaptor.

Adapter is suppose to be available later this month, but not exactly sure what it will adapt to.
You can get headers, pipes, and/or rear mufflers from Randy Smith now.
-
Thanks Allen, I over looked that.
-
Andrew, is the one you received a few days ago a ringed engine or an ABC ?
Thanks, John

One source Enya direct. Another one: The Control Line Store on E-Bay. Price: $239. Yes, the engine pictured is a 60XFGM R/C SE. The picture is incorrect and will be changed. I have confirmed this with Shtterman who assures me that the engine being sold from the site is the 61 CXL Red Head RE as described. No interest here, just another source for Enya engines and parts. 8)
-
Hello John,
The one I have is the ABC version. I have been waiting for this version for several years and at last they have been manufactured. I have just ordered a second, I am sure they will not be around for very long!
Regards,
Andrew.

The one I have is the ABC version. Andrew.
Andrew - That is A MUST for next Club Engine Day! No arguments y1
-
Picture on the C/L store web site has been changed to show the Red Head 61 CXL ABC. Get 'em while you can! 8)
-
There is one listed on ebay. NIB
-
This would be the site I was referring to-"Shtterman" aka "The Control Line Store". A reliable vendor and Enya authorized dealer. 8)
-
Hello Ian,
You shall have the latest Enya 61 at the next engine day. Just when is the next one
Regards,
Andrew.

Balsa;
I have been kidding the guy at Control Line Store this afternoon about putting his FOOT up on e-bay as well for bidding.
If you take a look at the pictures of the motor there, you will see his foot in one of the shots. LOL
He is going to kill me. >:D
By the way, he is hell of a great person to do business with.
He has had everything I need for my Enyas and the customer support is great.
Give him a try, you won't regret it.
(no, I do not work for them, just a loyal customer is all.)
-
Thanks for that Carl. Actually I have bought a few Enya engines (most recently a 45SS) and parts from him. Never had a problem, that is why I mentioned him as a source. As far as the foot goes...DOH! 8)

Well, if you're a buyer that may be true. But I won't sell to him again, you can count on that.
He was the winning bidder on a metal cowl for the old Berkeley AT-6/SNJ that I sold on eBay, won it for a minor sum - then demanded a refund because I didn't ship the complete kit, even though the listing clearly stated it was the cowl only, and anyone with any knowledge of model airplanes would know NIB Berkeley/Sig AT-6/SNJ kits don't sell for less than $10.
If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, then it must be ... I won't deal with anyone who shows that lack of integrity, be they buyer or seller. Just my 2 cents, your mileage may vary - if so, cross your fingers!

I agree completely. I have purchased several Enya's from him, and also there were several more parts orders, all with no issues. He even handled a return and replacement to my satisfaction.

Doesn't sound like a lack of integrity, just a misunderstanding, the type of thing that happens occasionally when buying/selling hobby (or any) items.
I too returned an item when I found out that it would not work on the engine I had purchased it for. Used the refund to purchase an item I could use. 100% positive feed back on da-bay says it all IMO. 8)

Wait - you returned the item? Well, I guess that makes all the difference in the world. But then, you know all about the "misunderstanding" we had ... We should all be so lucky as to have your knowledge of transactions you had no involvement in, Pete!
Dennis,
who stated "then demanded a refund" ... and said nothing about a return!
