Chris,
Your dad is one smart guy..... what happen to you?

Just kidding.
I wish I could pick your dad's brain.

Have fun on the beach. I hope you get sand in your shorts. **)

That's my dad Wally in the ad.  The Ad ran for a while during 1971 in Hot Rod, Road and Track and a handful of others.
The Magician was built entirely with Ambroid cement, finished in Aerogloss and is still in good flying condition. Yellow Silk and Corsair Blue Dope with white trim. It really is a beautiful model.
I take it out once and a while for a fly. It has a custom tank that has to be about 8 ounces and Fox 35 in the nose that does not burp at all. If you fill the tank all the way it will fly for an hour and a half.    <=
Unfortunately, he doesn’t fly any more but on a rare occasion, I can get him out to watch and shoot the breeze with the guys.

Chris;

The Magician is one of those timeless designs that always looks good.

Perhaps we will see a picture of it flying again sometime in the not so distant future.

Ah! The Magician is one of my all time favorites. I have to have at least one in my hanger at all times.
