Anyone know who the lucky winner was?
« on: November 14, 2019, 07:35:11 AM »
Anyone know who picked up the Nobler at the beginner circle at the NATs? It came complete and ready to fly. And it flew well.

REASON? Stolen?

The stuff donated as prizes for the beginner contest at the NATS are paired with the name and contact information of the person who donated it, and whoever chooses  the item is supposed to send a note of thanks to the donor. That is the way Allen Brickhaus set it up at the beginning. I'm gonna guess here that Paul donated the model and was never acknowledged by the recipient. A ready to fly, trimmed out ARF Nobler is quite a prize and the donor deserves some thanks.

Paul, my guess is one of Mike Scott's grandkids got it. He had quite a few of them there and they all chose built planes first.

I donated it with a note of what fuel to use and rpm settings and my contact info. It was a great flyer.
Kind of sad it was not appreciated.

Yes it is sad that thank yous are few and far between. Of all the items I have donated to the Beginners at the Nat's for several years, I have only received a total of 3 thank yous. Each and every item, many kits, gallons of fuel, etc., had a card with my name and address on it, as Allen and Mike had asked us to do each year, so the recipient could acknowledge the gift. Sadly it must be too much trouble to show a little appreciation.

:o I am sorry to find this out the hard way. I  thought I mailed or emailed everyone Thank You's. Their is no intent to hurt anyones feelings.  You cannot imagine the help and support I and my family has received from the stunt community with the training and so many models. Sometimes just overwhelming. So again I apologize for any mishap. I know the plane is really goping to be strong and lots of fun. Hope I can keep up the good work and I look forward to meeting you all.

p.s. I am useing my Granddads login info H^^

Jeffrey
Thanks for posting.
So how did you place in the NATs?

Please feel free to send me a email or PM if you have any questions about the Nobler.
It was always my go to plane when I needed a good backup plane.
The engine gave a good 4x2 break.
