Title: Anyone have a way to scan plans to .PDF?
Post by: Paul Taylor on November 11, 2011, 03:12:33 PM
Jim Lynch gave me a set of plans for his Volunteer. I would like to put them in a PDF file. I went to office depot and got a hard copy made for 6 bucks on a large copier. There scanner would not handle anything larger then 11x17.
I can snail mail a hard copy yours to keep for your efforts???

Anyone?

Find a shop that copies blueprints for architects, they are usually equipped to convert to, and work from .pdf files; I know my local place is.

Paul,
You can convert any file to .pdf using this program:
http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp
It's easy and FREE. (I use it all the time).

The local FedEX/Kinkos should be able to scan the original and put it in a PDF on a flash drive.
