Looks like I will be in Portland next week.
I have no idea what my work schedule will look like, but would like to try drop by the field after work.
I am due to arrive in Portland around 2:00 on Tuesday, and fly out on Friday. I would like to at least grab a cup of coffee and see some old faces.

Paul,
Mon, Wed, and Friday, are the normal flying days for the retired crowd, but it's usually over by noon (or a little later). Be sure to call Richard to let him know when you can be there. This really old face may even show up. ;D
Weather looks good all next week, but it may get into the low nineties on at least one afternoon.
Hope to see you there!

Bill,
Not sure I can make it during the day, and not sure how my late afternoons will be planned. I am going to try and get away in the afternoons, but sometimes people want to the wine and dine thing for us out of towners.
My guess is Tuesday afternoon when I first hit town might be the best shot I have at getting out to Delta Park.
Around here we don't get out to fly until about 5:30pm and say until sunset. Z@@ZZZ

Hey Paul, break those wine and diners into something healthier, flying model planes. LL~ LL~ LL~ Mainly hope you keep working and having fun. Jobs use to be such a bore. Now I am retired and no one wants me to work anymore. D>K

wednsday afternoons ther is also a cruize in at PIR which is just across I5 from Delta Park. Ron Anderson and myself some times drive our hot rods to the park, fly then go to the cruize. Also included at the cruiz is a live band, BBQ and 1/8th mile drag racing all for 5 bucks admission.

Hey Don,
If Tuesday afternoon does not pan out and I don't get forced to go out to dinner with the work crew on Wednesday, I will call this plan B.
What type of Hot Rod should I look for at the Park?
-
Mine is a red and black 31 Ford Phaeton and Ron has a 64 Gran Prix with an 8/71 blower peeking out of the hood.

Paul,
Let me know when you want to go flying, and maybe I can tag along to watch. Would also like to go to the auto show at PIR on Wed.
I'll email you my phone #, if you don't have a club roster.

Paul, why don't you try emailing Leo Mehl and Scott Riese direct? They are both sort of retired. I don't suppose you will make it 300 miles south to Klamath Falls.
-
Hey Russell,
I thought Leo or Scott would have jump on this thread. I have an email in to Art and may try to call him if I still have a good number. Yea 300 miles is a little out of the way.
Hey Bill, email your phone #. I hope we can meet up tomorrow afternoon.
-
I can not speak for Scott but Leo is on vacation. He took his bicycle to Montana. I can call Scott if you want.
