Anyone Familiar With This Engine?

Bought this a few years back.
It's in LIKE-NEW condition.
I test ran it. It starts easily and with 15%-11/11 it turned a Rev-Up 10-6 wooden prop at around 9800 RPM.
Not sure of the displacement - a 29 or 35?

I will probably put it on an early 50s style profile.

It looks like a 1955 OK Cub .29.

Never saw one run.  What does it weigh?  Looks like and incredibly light die casting especially compare to modern engines, Doubt it crashes very good though.

Going through my brother's stuff, found his Mohawk 29 (single exhaust) on a Ringmaster.  He took it to VSC several years ago.

That brings up a great memory of David...    He and Art spent a lot of time in the shade under our tent that year.  so enjoyable!!   And I flew that Ringmaster with the OK.  The motor was a nice runner, just rather mild. 
We will miss him.

Dave got the biggest kick out of it too.  I have that old Ringer with the Mohawk on it sitting next to me as I type, Thinking I should build something appropriate & OTS for it..

Yes, I’m pretty sure that’s the .29. The .35 had a yellow thrust washer.

Hi Bob,
I think it’s a OK .35 “Hot Shot”, I had one when I was a kid.  It was my first big Motor that my Dad bought for me.  It ran pretty good but not the power of most, a McCoy Red Head 29 would kick it’s but.  It was perfect for light weight Ringmaster S-1 or Flying Clown ( used it to learn to fly upside down).

AMEE shows it as 1955 'OK' Cub 29, with red drive and tank.   The 35 had a gold prop drive and tank.

From the Dannels encyclopedia, a 1955 OK Cub .29, as mentioned before.  Got a copy of the Dannels book?

Noise indeed!!    
And I thought the Fox 59 was loud.
The OK would drown it right out.
In any case, it should do OK on a light plane.

Well    I thought one day this would show up with you saying what is this motor . You got it from me five years ago at Huntersville. It had a nice big tag on it saying Ok .29.  $50.  You also bought a Rustler .40 for $50. You made a big fuss over it and said you would send me a check for both motors . You only paid me for one and came up with a lame story that you paid me at the field. I gave every one s receipt that day as i sold almost every thing I had left. I asked  for a copy of the receipt and you refused. Never told anyone what you did but now everone knows.
