Movie critics needed
« on: March 31, 2013, 12:47:45 PM »
Hey Everyone,
I have uploaded a few more Windy Videos from the Brodaks Fun Fly of 2007. The way the DVDs I got from Windy are formatted I had a heck of a time getting them converted into something I felt was useful for YouTube. And I think some of the format changes in the video as it plays. It took me a few tries to find a format that would play in full screen on YouTube.
Anyway before I get a bunch of them loaded - can a few of you go out and tell me if they play back correctly on your PC. They seem to play back on my laptop and ipad but would like a little more end user testing.
Thanks in advance for your help.

You can just click on the youtube button on my profile to get to my channel and all the videos. (see red arrow)

The aspect ratio of the Brodak 2007 videos is not correct, they are very much too wide.

That's what I was afraid of.
Back to the drawing board.

yes, the aspect ratio is off, but it's still watchable. My gosh, Windy is a real character, hope I get to meet him someday.

In most players, it is a simple setting change to get the right aspect ratio.  I use the GOM media player - 2 mouse clicks, no prob.   Thanks for posting these videos!!!

The wife says I spend too much time on the computor now.   Two hour videos.  Bad enough when I watched the video of F2C competition someone had posted.

  Among many other things.

Hi Brett, that was more or less a private joke between Paul and me. We traded a bunch of videos last year and the ones he is posting may be some of them. Windy was notorious for not editing his videos, You missed nothing.  LL~

Oh, I am well aware of that. The finishing videos were/are a tremendous resource for people, and no one can say that any aspect was glossed over. It's what happened while the paint was drying that verged into the "interesting" area. Like chasing the bird around the shop with the camera for 45 minutes.

Windy is nothing if not interesting.
