Anyone else getting these emails from 'Sparkyfl@charter.com ?
« on: February 08, 2025, 04:52:24 AM »
I've been receiving these emails 'apparently' from Sparky for a couple of weeks now - some daily, some multiples!
I've neither requested or sought a new login or password, nor do I need either - i'm logged in and password is secure!  mw~

Attached is email with some 'personal info redacted' for security !  H^^

I checked two things.  First, that *appears* to be a valid link through the page part of it and it is a valid email address.  Is it possible that your cookies got tossed or that you started using one of the freebee VPN's that are popping up?  Some of them will mask your IP and make some pier-to-pier connections stop working.  Second, I checked all of my emails from sparky and NONE of them showed an IP address except in the metadata.  If that was in the body of the email I would suspect it to be a fake.

One other thought, the site might save your login info by IP.  Providers routinely change your IP address unless you are paying to have a fixed one.  That could trigger something like this but I rather doubt it or I would have gotten similar emails.  Whatever it is, it isn't something Sparky can control, but he might be able to explain it better.
