  Built the Brodak war bird version of the Zero, how do ya' like it, what weight, power plant and any other info that ya' can share??

I built one years ago . It still fly's well and is my go to "stunt" plane when the field or weather is a bit dodgy .Used for engine testing mostly now .

Mine has fuselage mounted gear for the grass . It tracks real well and has had a variety of engines .Fox .35 ,Enya SS .30 , Evo .36 (too much) , Brodak .40 plus others. Presently an old Double Star .40 resides up front .

It likes 62' to 65' lines depending on the engine and wind . The tank is a 4 oz. Hayes with muffler pressure . This setup gives very consistent runs with very little drama .

I like my Zero and would recommend it to anyone looking for this size / type of plane .

I have never built one, but I have read hear and elsewhere that the Zero is the better flier of all the profile Brodak warbirds.  I am going to get one myself.

I've had several of the Brodak Warbirds and was doing the pattern usually the second flight.   If the Zero is a better flyer I may have to get one.

I had a Zero for about 5 years and with a Tower 40 it was as others have said a solid consistent flyer. I bought another kit awhile ago but other projects keep getting in the way. But it is such a solid consistent model that it will get built sometime in the near future.

 Here's a bunch of info on a Brodak Zero that I built a couple years ago. With this one there's not much "Brodak" left in it...

 ...I've heard a lot of people say they are happy with the performance of any of the 48" Brodak Warbirds. I think they are basically all the same airplane with all of them also using essentially the same wing and airfoil. They're just using different outlines on the fuselage, wingtips and tail surfaces to create your "Zero", "Hellcat", "Mustang", etc...

  The Zero shown in the above post flies very well since I re-engined it with an LA.46 last season. Not a World Beater, but it could definitely be competitive in the right hands. I farted around way too long with a Brodak .40 on it trying all kinds of different props and things on it but it always needed just a little more power. Mounting the LA.46 and an 11x5 Zinger made all the difference.
