Anybody built/flow a "Top Hat"

I have been fortunate to "inherit", through Mike Scott, a nearly completed wing Tom Neibuhr had under construction for his Top Hat and out of respect I would like to finish it out as one even though I had not been active again long enough to get to know Tom except in passing before he had his accident.

Has anybody out there flown one that might let me know if there are any changes I should make?  It will be powered by a Cobra 3520/14.
