Title: Chief Finally Finished
Post by: Robert Zambelli on May 31, 2025, 12:49:36 PM
After it sat around for a couple of years, I finally decided to finish it.
Newer version, not the polliwog airfoil.
I just have to install the flaps and elevators.
Power is a K&B 35 Green Head.
I weighed all the parts as well as the aircraft itself and the total comes out to right around 38 ounces.
Any suggestions regarding weight and trim?
Thanks for any help.

Bob Z.

FANTASTIC!  Light weight Chief's are pretty tough to beat; all that wing area translates into fantastic maneuverability.  Are you bringing it to Carmichaels?

Very nice Bob. At that weight you should consider setting the flap/elevator to 1 to 2 if you can.

Best,   DennisT

That looks really good Bob, I like all the neat little graphic details.
I have only built one. I kit bashed it when I was living in Yuba City California in 1967 and mine also had a Torp .35 Green Head.
