I'll second that. I've used that and it feels pretty similar. If there's a Wal-Mart closer, that's a good option!  :)

I wouldn't glue it, but that's me.

I'd use professional grade vinyl.

Same color, close to the same color or an accent color, even black.

You can get some for free at your local sign shop OR just tell me what you need and I'll send it!

Cut it any width you like. Half on the canopy and half on the model. Easy to remove and repair also.

When I get this Nobler ARF up and running, it will have vinyl holding the canopy on.

The Pacer 560 is the best thing since slicedbread for this job.

Definitely do not use CA it fogs the canopy inside and out...(fumes).

The 560 canopy glue is perfect and very easy to use.  Any errant glue can be wiped off to no effect.  It dries fairly fast and clear.  It holds forever!...Don't mess with anything else.

Peter,

Several good ideas about which glue, but I have to go with Randy C. and use the Pacer 560 canopy glue!

Try foam-cure by Bob smith. This is so much better than other thing I used, and I used every thing put on this post. It is clear when you start.

MANY THANX to all for your hints and tips.
A few years back, Walton's Mart is gone (history) for ever in Germany.
Found at the Pirates bay "Pacer Formula 560" and its on his way from a LHS in Hamburg.

@Avaiojet: holy cow, what a sharp looking Nobler.
I can get Vinyl only by the 50 Meters or 100 Meters roll.
I don't like to kiss a spot to get some for free here in my hometown.
Shipping Vinyl from the US to Germany is clearly an Overkill in cost.
Thanx anyway.

Peter,

Walk into any local sign shop and they will give you all the scrap vinyl you can carry. They will even give you short rolls of transfer paper.

If there's no "local" shop, just call one up and offer to pay for vinyl scraps. Still might get the stuff for free and just pay shipping.

BTW. I send out graphics to many modelers who do scale Warbirds in Germany. I've even produced line art for their projects.

FYI. I'm not sure any glue sticks to iron on covering material? Even if scratched up.
You will have to remove material to expose the wood?

OK..... to become more precise into my question,
thinking about a perfect gluejoint between Oracover and canopy.
Would Pacer PERFECT for this job ?

Should I go for a wood - Pacer- canopy gluejoint ?.

Thanx  H^^ Peter

 Peter,
Pacer to oracover to the canopy is perfect. It will adhere very well to the iron on films. I do it all the time. Bare wood is not necessary
