Yup, we got out for the first time this year.  It was a beautiful day but a bit windy.
Joe brought our his new Akromaster.  It sure is nice.
Bob and Dave made it out also.
Dave flew one of his Combat planes and man, talk about speedy!  He had an in-flight pushrod/stabilizer failure and had one of the most spectacular crashes I've ever seen.  Full speed into the soft Terror Firma!  It when in up to the leading edge.

It felt nice to get out in the warm sun with our planes.  A good time was had by all.

Chris,
Thanks for letting me hear Joe's Fox fire up via the cell phone. I was way out in the middle of no where, can you hear me now? Not too good. HB~>

Anyway I hope Joe's plane is OK.

I can not wait until the Cheeze head fly in this summer. Dates are all over the place. I can not pin her down.
I can tell you guys it will be between June and Aug. n~

Joe’s Wingmaster is just fine.  It was a low level figure 9, mainly due to the high winds.  The wind just blew the tail right under the plane on take off.  We just picked it up, cleaned some dirt off the prop (APC) and fired it back up.

We drove past the Farm yesterday.  Looking from the highway, it looks like we may have to do some creative mowing this year.   n~

Glad to hear that Joe's plane is OK.
What do you mean "some creative mowing" what is going on with the field? Joe said something also a few weeks ago! I hope he did not plow it under. I know corn prices are going to be high this year with the E85 gas, but I hope he did not mess us up! Well if he did we may just have to fly at your place or maybe Bong Park. You guys might want to come up with a "Plan B" site.
I will be a bummer if the spot is plowed under. HB~> :'( >:( @@^

hey Paul.
You know you jinxed me with that phone call. I was thinking, wait till Paul hears this! Then all Paul hears is me doing a dumb figure 9 and a splat. I wasn't able to fly after I put up the next flight and discovered that I had knocked the wing loose in the Wingmaster. I was afraid to try the Akromaster since the wind started blowing our chairs over. Had a great time seeing the guys for the first time this year.
