Unlike Doc I stayed in my chair - but my lunch didn't ! BTW in the library of videos posted by the same person there was another vid with the camera pointed forward looking through the prop - but I like the one point at the pilot better.
NICE FIND Rootbeard

The chap flying the Avro Lincoln and the B17, is Albert Briggs of Surrey England. I think the film was shot in the late 50's early 60's.
His models were beautifully built, I think he represented the UK in the world scale champs one year? He died a number of years back.

I've seen that flying site before, on Kaz Minato's site. I'm almost certain, based on the last few seconds of the video, that it was Kaz flying the plane. He is indeed a darned good pilot. H^^
-
I was going to suggest Kaz, based on the fact that he knows most of what's going on over there. But I don't think I've ever seen Kaz with a yellow plane. However, it might be Matsuro(?) Hiki. He builds all those yellow Noblers...
Just a thought

I Emailed Kaz Minato about the possibility of him being the pilot of the electric Sukhoi and although he has not answered that question he did put me in contact with one of my old "Rivals".
Check out T. Haras' website and some of the great models.

This looks just like a site where an F2B contest was held in Japan. I would wager the flyer is Japanese.
-
What i find interesting is that the speed of the model does not seem to remain steady, it seems to really accelerate on the downlines, and deccelerate on the uplines,, Almost like its not governed,, just an observation,,
-
I found out from Kaz Minato the electric Suhkoi pilot is Yoshimura Sadahiko.
Mr. Sadahiko was a Japanese Team Member at the 1980 World Championships.
That would explain his obvious skill and the fact that he appears "a bit older".

Yah but how many of us can read this 残暑お見舞い申し上げます。?
I viewed the site and it looks pretty much the same as here, old farts sitting under umbrellas.

Robert,
I was able to click "Translate" on the Google toolbar and read most of it.
Actually I was amazed the computer could do that!

I do not know who he is but sure glad I a pilot and not an airplane!

The camera's perspective was an interesting change from the norm...and I liked that.
I noticed that the pilot didn't do many level laps after the Clover, and didn't do the "shutoff loop" that Paul usually does for giggles and grins. LL~ Steve
