Title: Anti littering Ad from Texas
Post by: Elwyn Aud on May 16, 2007, 02:02:03 PM
I'd never seen this one before. It's got a little more zing than
the old ad with the crying Indian. Click on the ad with the plane.

Thanks for pointing me to this ad, Elwyn.  I remember when it was running... probably 20 years ago or more now.  It was always an interesting ad campaign.  But, the B-17 appearing from behind the hill was awesome.

Braniff Airlines (long gone now) had a similar ad where a stew was standing at the end of a runway and talking about Braniff's fine (?) services.  As she was talking, you realized that dark cloud growing behind her was jet exhaust and a Braniff aircraft was roaring down the runway towards the talking stew.  At the end of the commercial, the jet lifted off and passed just over her head.  This was a real actress standing on a real runway (but not an active airport).  No "blue screen" magic here.  Just a brave but very scared actress!!!

Anyone remember seeing it?
